if you take 4 subjects then you have to get 3.5 in each book and if oyu select 5 subjects it should be more then 3.0 and for 6 it should be 3.0 for 7 it .... 2.95 and so on for 8 it will be 0.0 and some thing less. in-short when you move on in next semester the over all CGPA is also based on past passed semester, so the overall ratio will be strong, and in-short if you select less subjects you have to work hard and if more then also have to work hard :-/. one of fellow has 2.8 and he passed his next 5 books with 3.5, 3.2, 4.00, 3.5 and 3.5 and he improved 2.8 to 2.96. i hope you got my point thanks for asking.
